At Agora Coffee, blend development is more than mixing origins , it’s the science of balance and the art of storytelling.
Each blend begins with a purpose: a flavor direction, a brewing intent, and a feeling we want to evoke. From there, our roasters and Q-graders work hand-in-hand with farmers to understand how each origin , from the deep chocolate body of Temanggung Robusta to the bright florals of Gayo Arabica
Roasted or Green Coffee Analysis
We perform detailed green coffee analysis before every roast batch to ensure that every bean entering our process meets export-grade standards. Each lot is evaluated for moisture content, density, screen size, defect count, and water activity, allowing us to predict its behavior during roasting and storage. This scientific approach minimizes inconsistencies and preserves the bean’s natural profile.
Coffee Farm Visit & Stay
Where Tradition Meets the High Slopes
Tucked deep within the southern highlands of Garut lies a community of farmers who’ve turned volcanic soil and mountain mist into flavor. Our visit to these farms wasn’t just about sourcing beans , it was about understanding the rhythm of their work, the patience behind every harvest, and the quiet pride of generations who’ve made coffee their legacy.
Walking through the rows of Arabica trees at Cisewu, you can smell the blend of eucalyptus and rich earth , a reminder that this region’s strength lies in its biodiversity. Each plant grows under shade, surrounded by vegetables and fruit trees, forming part of an agroforestry ecosystem that balances productivity with sustainability.
Our collaboration with the Garut farmers focuses on improving processing methods, quality control, and traceability, from selective picking to moisture and density targets. Together, we’re building a system that lets their coffee compete globally without losing its identity.
